surme se tez dashnaa-e-mizgaaN kiye huye - Mirza Ghalib muqaabil = opposite (in front of) aarazoo = desire surme = kohl (kaajal) tez = sharpened dashnaa = dagger mizgaaN = eyelash huye mar ke ham jo ruswaa huye kyooN na Garq-e-dariyaa
